Dreaming Big at Dream It, Be It Workshop
On May 21, 2026, 35 Grade 8 and 9 girls from across the North & West Vancouver school districts came together at Lynn Valley Community Centre for Dream It, Be It—a day dedicated to building confidence, leadership skills, and dreams for the future.
Hosted by our club, the workshop provided a supportive and encouraging environment where girls could discover their strengths, explore their aspirations, and connect with peers.

Facilitated by Christianne Zurowski - Certified Coach, the day featured interactive games, engaging discussions, and self-discovery activities designed to help participants recognize their value, build self-confidence, and begin envisioning the future they want to create.
Special guest speaker Marica Morales, National Program Manager, BeauYOUtiful Foundation, inspired the girls with a powerful message about leadership, confidence, and believing in their potential. Through mentorship, reflection, and hands-on activities, participants gained practical tools to help them overcome obstacles, set meaningful goals, and pursue their dreams.
“Before a “right career” can be chosen, there is often a quieter skill: learning how to listen inward. What stood out most was how quickly the girls took to this shift—from external answers to internal awareness. It reinforced how much people are craving this space: to explore, dream, and experiment.”
72% of survey respondents said they would recommend the workshop to a friend
“A heartfelt thank you to the Soroptimist for such a wonderful event. It was clear how much thought and care went into creating an experience that was engaging, inspiring, and supportive for the students. The focus on leadership, confidence, positive self-image, and future pathways truly resonated.”
78% of attendee survey respondents understood better how their values connect to careers
Dream It, Be It is more than a workshop—it's an investment in the next generation of leaders, helping young girls discover their potential and empowering them to dream big, believe in themselves, and take the first steps toward a bright future.
