On June 10, 2026, we proudly welcomed and inaugurated our 2026–2027 President and Board of Directors. The evening also commemorated our outgoing President and recognized our club's many accomplishments over the past year.
Members from Soroptimist clubs across the Lower Mainland joined us for an evening of friendship, great food, and wine as we reflected on another successful year of empowering women and girls in our community.
Thank you Past President Sharon Lockhart
The event was an opportunity to honour and thank our outgoing President Sharon Lockhart for her outstanding contributions to our club.
“Over the past two years, our members have worked tirelessly to build stronger connections within our community and increase awareness of our mission,“ says Sharon. “As a result, we are reaching more women and girls through our educational awards and life-changing programs. Serving as President has been an honour, and I am truly grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and friendship of our incredible members. Together, we have accomplished so much, and I look forward to seeing our club continue to grow and make a lasting difference”
Welcome New President, Brodie Pountney
We welcomed incoming President, Brodie Pountney, who will serve a 2-year term.
Brodie says, “I am honoured to serve as the new President of Soroptimist of North and West Vancouver. I look forward to building on our proud legacy of empowering women and girls through education, mentorship, and meaningful service. My vision is to strengthen our impact in the community while welcoming new members who share our passion for creating opportunities and making a difference. Together, we can continue to build a vibrant, inclusive club where friendship, service, and compassion inspire positive change and create lasting opportunities for women and girls.”
