Soroptimist International of North & West Vancouver

March 2010

The members of Soroptimist International of North & West Vancouver cordially invite you to attend our annual Awards Dinner in honour of some very special women from the North Shore:

·three high school students will receive the Violet Richardson Award  for their volunteerism;
·three Women’s Opportunity Award winners will be recognized for enhancing their family’s quality of life through the pursuit of higher education leading to professional careers; and
·a local woman from the community will receive the Ruby Award for outstanding community service on the North Shore.

This very special evening will also feature one of our own North & West Vancouver Soroptimists speaking about the progress being made in the campaign against human trafficking. Janneke Lewis, a North Shore lawyer, has become a subject area expert on this topic and has spoken at many forums, including the United Nations in Geneva. Janneke is also a former Western Canada Region Governor of Soroptimist International.

We hope you will join us at Cheers Restaurant on March 23rd, 2010 for this very special evening. Please see the attached poster for important details and RSVP contact information.

Sincerely,
Karin Bews
